Pompeii is from your favorite Director to crap on. Paul Anderson doesn’t get my hate, and he doesn’t inspire or get my love either.Pompeii is an exercise in big special effects, with a razor thing story, stolen from a host of Gladiator films. The folks were definite fans of Spartacus from Showtime. With one big difference. Very little story to grab my attention. I walk away from Pompeii with a giant MEH. I’ve already forgotten most of it, except for the over the top ridiculous acting by Kiefer Sutherland. It’s pretty humorous to watch. Carrie Anne Moss is a complete throwaway.
